A spoiled child with a lot of mouth. Not exactly what you'd call a 'good kid' to his parents, the youngest of a large family. Was kinda treated badly by his siblings, mainly raised by the Trees.

Craves knowledge, about the world at large; the world he knows has grown too small for him, which is why he's left it. Well, that, and the fact that he has no interest being a pawn in his parents' politics games.

Being part tree, he talks about them a lot, and his connection to Nature sometimes make him sound otherworldly, like he knows things the rest of the world can't even fathom.

Very soft and kind hearted. Likes to tease.

Very playful, even if he is a sore loser. At heart, he wants to learn from everyone he encounters. He wants to love, too.

When climbing trees, his hands and feet become more claw-like.

The war hasn't affected everyone in the same way. For Hyunki, the war is an abstract, distant kind of thing that he didn't see unfold. His parents didn't let him engage with it in any way, shape or form. And that kinda is why... he ran away.

For a while, he lived on the streets. Learned about the militia, and the checkpoints, and how much people like him - magical people - were hated and distrusted by the government in place. He spent some time in different holding cells and jail, but none of them could hold him very long. So he ran away, again, away from cities, away from humans, until he stumbled upon a swamp.

He's not a bad son. He's tried not to be a bad son. But his thirst for knowledge, as well as knowing full well that he'll never have the responsibilities of his oldest sister, being the 6th one in line for the throne, well. It helped him make his decision. He'd explore the world, see all that there is to see out there, learn as much as he can from everything, and everyone.

But his parents aren't really down with that...

- Climbing speed (only usable on trees)
- Communication with trees (can speak with them, but also relay feelings)
- Communication channelling: he can allow other people to hear and communicate with trees
- Tree spirit: he can summon the spirit of a Great Oak to give him supernatural strength. Pretty much turns into a tree. Can grow vines out of his body when in this form.
- Regeneration: he can heal himself, plantlife of all sorts, and other magical beings, to an extent. Won't keep anyone from dying if they are at that threshold
- Very skilled gardener!
