[ Hyunki wanted to do things right, too. He wanted to hear Adder find pleasure in his kisses, in his touches, and he would strive to get better at this until he got it. He was passionate, and he was a quick study, and learning was everything he always wanted.
Now he just had a new study subject: Adder's body. ]

He swallowed thickly, moving to kiss Adder's cheek, lingering there for a moment. Taking a deep breath, he pulled back just a tiny bit, to be able to look at Adder. ]
That's. That's good. Would you like - we could go inside. I'd like to make sure you sleep the rest of the night well.
[ Oh, no, that pout. Gods, and he thought Adder couldn't get more endearing to him, there he went, doing this. Hyunki had to smile, hands moving up to curl around Adder's neck. ]
Yes. If you want me to, I'll stay. I'd like to stay. Make sure you have better dreams. Or we can just talk all night.
[ before long he would learn all about the power of the pout. actually, he would learn a lot of things to use at his disposal but in a good way, of course. he wouldn't take advantage.

leaning into the touch, he nodded his head. ]
I would like to talk all night. We - can lay together, maybe? Uhh - I think mortals refer to it as cuddling.
[ Nodding, Hyunki smiled, his whole body feeling warm and content. It felt right. ]
Mmhmm. They do, indeed. I don't actually really have a room, in the house, by the way. I just tend to nap on the couch randomly. I need very little sleep.
[ Hyunki's heart did a flip, there, at the words. At the offer, no hesitation in it, just an open show of trust, a desire for them to spend more time together.
Standing up after Adder and taking his hand, Hyunki nodded. ]
[ squeezing hyunki's hand, he led them into the house and where he had his room. in the furthest corner he could find or that they had open. far away from everyone else. ]
I do like plants. [ he looked very pointedly at hyunki. ] I like you, don't I?
[ it seemed adder finally felt comfortable enough to really tease as well. ]
[ Hyunki let out a chuckle, trying to stay quiet as it was, after all, the middle of the night, and most of the house's inhabitants were currently asleep. ]
Fair point. [ He looked around the room, sparsely furnished outside of a bed and a dresser, and hummed under his breath. ]
Yes, this room could probably do with some greenery. Outside of myself, I mean. [ He did, after all, always have a little bit of a greenish undertone to his skin. It made the freckles over his face and collarbones look more prominent. ]
[ the room while not much, certainly served as an upgrade for what he left and had before. outside of the underworld, of course, because his chambers there were kind of awe inspiring. they would make most who loved design weep.

wider smile taking over his face, adder sat down on the bed. ]
Don't worry, dear, you'll still be my favorite green no matter what else you bring in here.
[ his eyes gazed around a little. ]
We could add some vines if you wanted too, some grass. Flowers. Anything else you really like?
[ Hyunki reached out to touch Adder's face, smiling. ]

[ It was so much. Hyunki had no idea where to even start trying to show Adder his appreciation, how much he enjoyed his company, and his gentleness, and apparently, his desire to provide everything Hyunki could want.
It made Hyunki's heart did funny, funny things. ]
I used to sleep in a hammock. I enjoyed it a lot. But your bed - your bed is just fine. I don't need anything, really.
[ he gave a nod of his head, leaning forward to kiss hyunki's cheek. ] I want it to be a garden for you - for us. It'll be nice and relaxing. Another place we can escape to.
[ there were a few places they had so far and he thought of each one as theirs already. he wondered if hyunki thought the same.

I've never slept in a hammock before. We could set it up there. Being - open with each other, always, okay? I don't want - my life is always filled with so many secrets. I - don't - can't - want any with us.
[ And oh, how he did. How he wanted to share these secret places with Adder, have many of them where they could find each other, be themselves and be alone and be together there. Places that were theirs. ]
It's very comfortable, if a bit precarious to get into, at first. [ Hyunki smiled, imagining the room with all the greenery, soft light and a hammock for them to find each other in.
Nodding, he looked at the side of Adder's face, solemn. ]
There are things I can't say out loud here, but I don't want to hide them from you. I've told you some, already. But I do like communication. I don't want to be afraid to talk to you about anything, and I am not. And vice versa. I'll hear you out, always.
For us. [ he agreed, a little in awe with how much he already enjoyed the sound of us and together. a sense of belonging he would have never considered possible for him but hyunki kept opening things up. he kept giving him everything he never knew he needed before.

[ It truly felt like Hyunki's heart would fly right out of his chest, hearing these words from Adder. Hyunki had been very naive, before entering the Human world, had been so trusting, and it had turned on him, enough times that he had learned to maybe not trust so easily.
But Adder was different. He had smashed through these flimsy barriers in mere moments, with truthful words and no wavering, always so willing to try, for Hyunki, which means. Everything.
He was not trying to use Hyunki, or to toy with him, or to manipulate him. He was just himself, and that person was someone Hyunki was falling for. Or at least, he was pretty sure it was the correct sentiment. ]

[ Gently, he started pulling Adder towards the bed, climbing on it and lying down, a hand under his own head, the moonlight spilling into the room from the large window just above the bed. ]

[ adder whispered in response, his heart clenching so tightly in his chest because of how much he meant the words. he would never want to hurt hyunki or to betray the fragile emotions growing between them. all of which were new for adder in the first place but were becoming what he wanted to depend on. he had never wanted to need anyone but he had started to so easily with hyunki.

[ Everything felt so right. A fragile moment, but there was a protective bubble between them, and it felt like Hyunki thought all of these movies he'd watched said it should. He felt safe, and protected, and like he could say or do anything.

[ Hyunki laughed, nodding. ] That is indeed true. I've told you before, we are a mischievous species. Feel lucky I'm not especially into pranks. But my mouth does get me into trouble sometimes.

[ Okay, now that made Hyunki blush, and laugh a little harder. Until Adder kissed his neck, and Hyunki's hand curled tighter around his arm. ]

To tell you the truth, I have no frame of reference. Maybe, to other people, we've been too fast, too intense, and too much already. But I - I've enjoyed every single second I've spent with you, from the very first. Maybe we bonded through my healing you. But it's not too much for me. If anything, I want more.
[ dread gathered in the pit of his stomach as he waited for hyunki to answer but he quickly realized he had nothing to worry about. he had never actually believed in the concept of a 'other half' even if plenty he judged held onto the idea but now things were shifted in his mind.
