[ before long he would learn all about the power of the pout. actually, he would learn a lot of things to use at his disposal but in a good way, of course. he wouldn't take advantage.

I would like to talk all night. We - can lay together, maybe? Uhh - I think mortals refer to it as cuddling.
[ Nodding, Hyunki smiled, his whole body feeling warm and content. It felt right. ]
Mmhmm. They do, indeed. I don't actually really have a room, in the house, by the way. I just tend to nap on the couch randomly. I need very little sleep.
[ Hyunki's heart did a flip, there, at the words. At the offer, no hesitation in it, just an open show of trust, a desire for them to spend more time together.
Standing up after Adder and taking his hand, Hyunki nodded. ]
[ squeezing hyunki's hand, he led them into the house and where he had his room. in the furthest corner he could find or that they had open. far away from everyone else. ]
I do like plants. [ he looked very pointedly at hyunki. ] I like you, don't I?
[ it seemed adder finally felt comfortable enough to really tease as well. ]
[ Hyunki let out a chuckle, trying to stay quiet as it was, after all, the middle of the night, and most of the house's inhabitants were currently asleep. ]
Fair point. [ He looked around the room, sparsely furnished outside of a bed and a dresser, and hummed under his breath. ]
Yes, this room could probably do with some greenery. Outside of myself, I mean. [ He did, after all, always have a little bit of a greenish undertone to his skin. It made the freckles over his face and collarbones look more prominent. ]
[ the room while not much, certainly served as an upgrade for what he left and had before. outside of the underworld, of course, because his chambers there were kind of awe inspiring. they would make most who loved design weep.

wider smile taking over his face, adder sat down on the bed. ]
Don't worry, dear, you'll still be my favorite green no matter what else you bring in here.
[ his eyes gazed around a little. ]
We could add some vines if you wanted too, some grass. Flowers. Anything else you really like?
[ Hyunki reached out to touch Adder's face, smiling. ]
You want to turn this room into a garden. For me?
[ It was so much. Hyunki had no idea where to even start trying to show Adder his appreciation, how much he enjoyed his company, and his gentleness, and apparently, his desire to provide everything Hyunki could want.
It made Hyunki's heart did funny, funny things. ]
I used to sleep in a hammock. I enjoyed it a lot. But your bed - your bed is just fine. I don't need anything, really.
[ he gave a nod of his head, leaning forward to kiss hyunki's cheek. ] I want it to be a garden for you - for us. It'll be nice and relaxing. Another place we can escape to.
[ there were a few places they had so far and he thought of each one as theirs already. he wondered if hyunki thought the same.
a hammock; he added it to his mental checklist, deciding to check out a few places to acquire one. ]
I've never slept in a hammock before. We could set it up there. [ he motioned towards the other side of the room opposite the bed because there would be plenty of space. ] I - want you to always tell me what you want Hyunki, and what you don't want. Being - open with each other, always, okay? I don't want - my life is always filled with so many secrets. I - don't - can't - want any with us.
[ And oh, how he did. How he wanted to share these secret places with Adder, have many of them where they could find each other, be themselves and be alone and be together there. Places that were theirs. ]
It's very comfortable, if a bit precarious to get into, at first. [ Hyunki smiled, imagining the room with all the greenery, soft light and a hammock for them to find each other in.
Nodding, he looked at the side of Adder's face, solemn. ]
There are things I can't say out loud here, but I don't want to hide them from you. I've told you some, already. But I do like communication. I don't want to be afraid to talk to you about anything, and I am not. And vice versa. I'll hear you out, always.
For us. [ he agreed, a little in awe with how much he already enjoyed the sound of us and together. a sense of belonging he would have never considered possible for him but hyunki kept opening things up. he kept giving him everything he never knew he needed before.
at this rate, he already couldn't imagine not being with him, which also surprised him. he had become attached so quickly and it really sunk in recently how much he depended on hyunki. ]
I trust you. [ not words he took lightly and he had spoken them very rarely in his long lived existence but with hyunki he meant them on a whole other level. ]
We - have time to figure things out. To figure each other out. But I do want that. I want us to be able to discuss everything with each other and not hold back. I want - I'm trying to let you in, Hyunki. Fully. Completely.
[ It truly felt like Hyunki's heart would fly right out of his chest, hearing these words from Adder. Hyunki had been very naive, before entering the Human world, had been so trusting, and it had turned on him, enough times that he had learned to maybe not trust so easily.
But Adder was different. He had smashed through these flimsy barriers in mere moments, with truthful words and no wavering, always so willing to try, for Hyunki, which means. Everything.
He was not trying to use Hyunki, or to toy with him, or to manipulate him. He was just himself, and that person was someone Hyunki was falling for. Or at least, he was pretty sure it was the correct sentiment. ]
I trust you too. With everything.
[ Gently, he started pulling Adder towards the bed, climbing on it and lying down, a hand under his own head, the moonlight spilling into the room from the large window just above the bed. ]
I will always listen, whenever you want to talk. You don't have to be afraid that my opinion of you will change, either. It won't.
I'll protect that, I promise. [ adder whispered in response, his heart clenching so tightly in his chest because of how much he meant the words. he would never want to hurt hyunki or to betray the fragile emotions growing between them. all of which were new for adder in the first place but were becoming what he wanted to depend on. he had never wanted to need anyone but he had started to so easily with hyunki.
he had started to feel so many thngs for him, a stirring of what he never anticipated.
once hyunki settled onto the bed, adder joined him, laying half ontop of him, tangling their legs together. he gripped onto hyunki too, tucking his face against his neck. he usually liked when they could hold each other like they currently were. ]
The same for you, okay, Hyunki? It'll take me time to get used to that. I've always kept my thoughts and emotions to myself. But - I want to let go with you. I want you to know every inch of me.
[ Everything felt so right. A fragile moment, but there was a protective bubble between them, and it felt like Hyunki thought all of these movies he'd watched said it should. He felt safe, and protected, and like he could say or do anything.
Adder felt just right in his arms, too. They felt just right in each other's arms. ]
Well, it'd be quite boring if it didn't take time for us to know each other, wouldn't it? I don't need you to tell me everything right now. We have time. But I do too, I want to know all of you, and vice versa.
[ Oh, how did he want to know every inch of Adder. How he did. ]
I'm learning you're getting more sassy by the day. [ adder murmured with very obvious fondness as he nuzzled hyunki's neck with a pleased sigh. he wanted them to take time, of course, and naturally learn about one another. not just list things and push it all. ]
This is nice. Us together like this. Never knew I would like cuddling so much.
[ his eyes fell shut and he gripped onto hyunki a little tighter. ]
[ Hyunki laughed, nodding. ] That is indeed true. I've told you before, we are a mischievous species. Feel lucky I'm not especially into pranks. But my mouth does get me into trouble sometimes.
[ Oh, one day soon, he'll realize the innuendos. One day. ]
I guess I like that you are. [ he grinned against hyunki's neck, pressing a soft kiss there. ] I reall, really like your mouth. I need to say that to you a lot more.
[ the comfort of their embrace settled around him and he drifted for a moment, letting out a little noise to show he hadn't fallen asleep. it just took him a moment to continue with what he started to say. ]
I can be kind of - intense. I feel a lot, deeply, passionately. I don't want it to be too much for you.
[ Okay, now that made Hyunki blush, and laugh a little harder. Until Adder kissed his neck, and Hyunki's hand curled tighter around his arm. ]
Well, I'll make sure to keep being sassy. I don't want you to stop appreciating my mouth.
[ Hyunki waited until Adder felt like answering, and then when he did, he nodded, understanding. ]
To tell you the truth, I have no frame of reference. Maybe, to other people, we've been too fast, too intense, and too much already. But I - I've enjoyed every single second I've spent with you, from the very first. Maybe we bonded through my healing you. But it's not too much for me. If anything, I want more.
[ dread gathered in the pit of his stomach as he waited for hyunki to answer but he quickly realized he had nothing to worry about. he had never actually believed in the concept of a 'other half' even if plenty he judged held onto the idea but now things were shifted in his mind.
hyunki seemed to complete him perfectly, making him whole. ]
I've liked every single second too, love, I don't want to back off or slow down or not spend as much time as possible with you. I - really care about you.
[ One of Hyunki's hands moved to Adder's hair again, just cupping the back of his head, feeling the silky soft strands as they talked, bathed in moonlight.

And I really care about you, too. I did not think this would happen, when you first appeared. I thought you'd recoil from my touch, after I healed you. You looked so worried, and confused. I thought you'd leave, and I'd never see you again.
[ the most intimate and tender moment of adder's life as well. it brought peace to work its way over his body, practically boneless and at ease against hyunki's body. he never wanted to move and just wanted to exist in their little bubble for awhile. ]
Now, you can't get rid of me. [ he murmured, nuzzling against hyunki's neck. ] Your touch - felt so good, Hyunki. I wanted you to keep touching me but it seemed - I couldn't have asked then.
[ His tone said it all. He was so comfortable with Adder that his sarcasm came back to the surface, but full of fondness, very amused. ]
It feels a little crazy, doesn't it? I also wanted more, but you were so hurt, and so disoriented. I did not want to take advantage, especially since I could tell you do not let many people see you like this.
I know whatever will you do. [ adder offered back, lifting up to be able to look into hyunki's face. the surreal feeling might never leave him at this rate. ]
[ he gave a nod of his head. ] That's another reason I trusted you so easily and have continued to trust you. You - could have easily taken advantage of me in a variety of ways and didn't. [ if anything hyunki tried to help him as much as possible. ]
You - really took care of me. Without kind of judgement and not expecting anything.
[ Hyunki let out a sigh, like he had no idea what he was going to do with his current predicament, but the smile on his face belied the feeling. He had to chuckle, unable to keep it in.
Still, he sobered up quickly, his fingers running down along the nape of Adder's neck. ]
I did expect things. I expected your name, and I expected answers to my questions, which you provided. It was not selfless.
[ He turned his head to look at Adder, serious. ] It was not selfless, Adder. I have been so fascinated by you, from the moment we met. I wanted more, from the beginning.
